Have you ever applied your eye shadow and half-way through the day, it's just remnants of the colour that are left behind, or the colour has conveniently faded away, with bits of it making its way into the crease of your eyelid?
Well if it has, you are definitely not in the minority as this is quite common, especially in heat and humidity. And with the summer days upon us, that doesn't help at all. The good news, however, is that there is a way to time proof your eyeshadow and have long-lasting, beautiful eyeshadow.
Eye primers are available to rescue fading eyeshadow colours. They serve as the base for the eyeshadow, and while allowing for a much longer wear, they also, at times, cause the eyeshadow to appear more pigmented on the eye surface. A creamy consistency, the primer is lightly placed on the entire eye surface and should be left on for about a minute to dry before applying the shadow.
Another alternative for securing a more long-lasting eyeshadow would be to use a liquid foundation the same way as you would apply the primer. Make sure it matches your skin tone.
