Whoever said you need to settle for what nature gave you was definitely wrong.

Especially for women in search of improving, let's say, their 'assets', padded panties promise to 'pick up' where nature left off. According to Dionne Morrison, owner of Baba's, a lingerie store in Kingston, padded panties are good to wear beneath almost any garment, whether dresses, pants or skirts, to add a little oomph to the derrière.

The panties come with a variety of padding. One type is a soft silicone gel, which supposedly gives a more natural look and softer feel. Morrison sells a line of the padded underwear from the brand Heavenly Shapeware. The padding in those are made from foam, similar to the feel of some padded bras. An indentation between the two cheeks, contribute to the natural look of the buttocks and the foam-like padding gives firmness and fits snugly to your bottom.

Morrison believes it's a very effective product, with its seamless sides. The panties leave no panty lines and come in the neutral shades, flesh tone and black. Padded panties also come with removable inserts, which should be removed before cleaning the underwear.

It's recommended that you observe the care instructions of the manufacturer as it helps to maintain the shape of the panties.
