Only a few days into the new school year, some students of Jamaica College (JC) in St Andrew have reportedly been sent home for wearing tight pants to school.
A Gleaner source noted that students of the school were being sent home by the institution's dean of discipline.
Principal of JC, Ruel Reid, said while he had not received a report from the deans of discipline on the matter, it was the normal policy of the school when students breached the school rules.
"Students are told in the school handbook, and we have had orientation, so everybody is quite aware what the regulations are, and the law says that the students are to obey the rules of the school," he said.
He added that the students would be able to return to the institution whenever they were properly dressed.
