1,300 vie for General Accident shares

The 1,344 investors seeking shares in General Accident Insurance Company will each be allotted a piece of the company.

Lead broker Mayberry Invest-ments Limited said Monday that those bidding for up to 50,000 shares will receive their full allotment, while persons requesting more will receive a portion of the amount for which they applied.

Company applicants will receive their full allotment, while key partners will get 55 per cent of the amount of shares requested.

Mayberry said refunds will be available on September 30.

Mayberry said it received 1,344 applications for shares valued at approximately J$2 billion, or more than five times the J$416 million initial public offering.
