Last week, we began our new series Reality Check. A look at the most entertaining reality shows whose characters are clearly in a world of their own. Here are some responses to our take on The Bachelor. What is your favourite or least favourite reality show? Send us your comments at: lifestyle@gleanerjm.com.

The producers of Teacha's Pet needed to have watched a couple seasons of the Bachelor/Bachelorette before they went ahead and put out that horrific show on television. What were they thinking? Anyhoo, I am happy that I found someone in Jamaica who loves this show as much as I do. You can't help but being sucked in by the drama.

Most of the women go on these shows to become celebrities. How realistic do you think your chances are of finding love when all the dates are organised and there are no outside influences. What apalls me is how they talk about Ben being honest, genuine, trustworthy and how he is a good guy; they haven't even got to know him just yet.

Do these women ever think about the number of failed relationships that have resulted from these shows? I guess there is something that they can aspire to - make it to the final two, get rejected and then you get the opportunity to do that to 25 men (lol!). The ones who didn't receive a rose on the first night comments often offend me, why are they bawling their eyes out feeling sorry for themselves when he didn't even get a chance to know them. He had to send home someone. The drama in the house is about to "tun up" with the psycho Jenna and the lesbo Monica - the conversation between them was WEIRD! Can't wait for tonight's episode.

Reality Show Fanatic

I do watch Bachelor/Bachelorette!

Monday nights are not the same without it!

Just really enjoy the 'people watching' aspect and how the personalities clash and play out in the house!

And, of course, I always want it to end happily ever after! :)
