Molynes target easy win

Molynes United 'A' are expected to record their sixth consecutive victory in the Jamaica Netball Association (JNA)/Jamaica National Building Society Open League competition, when they oppose Waulgrovians 'C' at the Leila Robinson courts today, starting at 7p.m.

In the other games to be played simultaneously, Breaton will oppose Ebony Strikers, Ravens 'B' tackle Red Challenge, and Rollington Town 'B' await Blades United 'B'.

Molynes United, who are unbeaten in the competition, are joint leaders of Group Six with Jobs Lane United 'B' on 15 points.

They are followed by Leiba Gardens (10), UTech Knights (seven), Duncan Strikers (six), Omega 'B' (four), Maxfield Park 'B' (one) and Waulgrovians 'C' (one).

"I am confident that my team will win the game," said Roy Price, coach of Molynes United. "The Waulgrovians C team is a young team, and we don't expect much of a challenge from them."Price added: "Our expectation is to win the group, then on to the quarter-finals and hopefully we will be able to make it into the semi-finals."

National Under-16 goalshooter, Saffon Knight, wing attack Odette Harris, and defender Tashneek Boswell will lead Molynes United's charge.

Waulgrovians 'C' will rest their hopes in the hands of Chevaneeses Burke, Shanique Miller, and Moya Green.

In the day's other games: at 1:15p.m, Tivoli Gardens 'A' will battle Mico 'A', Windalco tackle UWI Pelicans, Waulgrovians 'A' face GC Foster College Strikers and Hellshire 'B' await Liguanea 'B'.

At 2 p.m., Police 'A' oppose Ravens 'C', JDF await Ebony Strikers 'B', Hagley Park 'A' tackle Molynes United 'C'. At 2:50 p.m., Claremont Heights oppose Hannah Town, Rivoli 'A' battle Liguanea 'B', Greenwhich 'B' await Global, and Police 'B' tackle Hellshire 'A'.
