Heritage awards representatives in Jamaica
The old Dutch proverb "rewards sweetens labour" was truly the essence of the high spirited Blast-Off 2012 and awards ceremony event hosted by the Jamaican agency of the Canada-based Heritage Education Funds International LLC to both herald in the new year and to reward its sales and management team for their exemplary work throughout 2011.
President and Chief Executive Officer Jason Maguire flew into the island to present more than 40 awards to the growing Jamaican sales team on Thursday, January 12 at a cocktail reception, poolside of the Terra Nova All Suite Hotel. Among the awards presented were plaques, trophies, iPads, and tickets to Cancun, Mexico, where Heritage Education Funds will be holding its annual sales convention at the end of February 2012.
Sales Manager Tessa Chang encouraged her fellow teammates "to walk towards their divine destiny and to remain strong during times of challenges".
Lyndie Headley, Heritage's local agency director, praised his sales team for their high achievement through their persistency and for surpassing their sales targets, despite the economic challenges.
The local agency director stated that Heritage had experienced growth of 39 per cent over 2010 which, he thought, was a remarkable achievement. In addition to the outstanding growth rate, he lauded his team for achieving a persistency rate of 94 per cent in a very difficult market, and also pointed out that the company had its best December ever as well as being a record month in the company's 16-year history in Jamaica.
Joan Buchanan won seven awards: Sales Representative/ Sales Manager of the Year; the President's Month's Award for the Highest Percentage Over Quota and Total Gross Production, among others.
Runner-up Sales Representative of the Year award went to Tessa Chang. Other awardees included Sheryl Chin, Linda Levy, Vanessa Francis, Glena Traille-Nassor, Donna Burrell, Sheryl Hines, Marie Samuels, and Sanchia Gibson-Henry. The Rookie of the Year award went to Winifred Hunter and the Persistency Award to Ian Myrie.
