Two shiny, new Honda motor vehicles in a garden? What is this? A car lover's mirage?

Well, it was for car lovers, but this was very much real. ATL gave the media a sneak peek at the 2012 Honda Civic and CR-V vehicles, at a cosy media launch at Hope Gardens on Wednesday, February 1. The CR-V was the more hidden of the two, as it hasn't been viewed before now. Oh, by the way, in case you're itching to buy a new one of either (or both), get cracking on the Civic and forget about the CR-V; those are all gone! Try again about March, Honda Brand Manager Christopher DaCosta suggests.

The two rides are loaded with features, everything from the ECON mode that helps you burn fuel more efficiently (in both cars), to the reverse camera in the fully loaded version of the CR-V. A familiarisation tour of the autos and an excellent brunch from The Moveable Feast caterers made it an enjoyable event. And to top it off, guests were invited to test-drive one of each model; preferably with an ATL representative in the car, you know, just in case. The 'big' launch takes place on February 26.
