Missing man found dead

The body of a man for whom a missing-person report was filed on Tuesday was found inside his home yesterday morning.

He is forty-nine-year-old quantity surveyor Cletus Graham of Roachdale Crescent in Vineyard Town.

Reports are that about 8 a.m., residents alerted the police after smelling a foul odour coming from an area of the premises.

On their arrival, Graham's body was found inside the premises with multiple stab wounds and his throat slashed. The crime scene was processed and the body removed.

The police have intensified their investigations into the matter.

More supervision coming for customs cashiers

As the police continue their investigation into allegations of irregularities at the Jamaica Customs Department, Commissioner of Customs, Major Richard Reese, disclosed last night that a number of recommendations were made, some of which have been implemented effective today.

"There will be increased supervision in the cashier area," said Reese.

He stressed that the recommendations were made following a meeting with members of staff and would enhance internal control as it relates to the cashier area.
