We are usually introduced to the season's hottest beauty looks by some of Hollywood's hottest stars.
However, not every look fits every occasion, so keep that in mind. Since the recent red-carpet appearances, Flair teamed up with make-up artiste André Campbell to give you a few tips to replicate the looks of Rihanna, Camilla Belle and Anna Falchi. Here is to bringing out the MUA (make-up artiste) in you.
Look 1 - Rihanna
The island girl was au naturel on the red carpet for the recent metropolitan gala. Here is how you get the look.
Step 1: Prep the face by cleansing, toning and moisturising.
Step 2: Apply foundation (in this case Black Opal was used).
Step 3: Three foundations were used. Your perfect shade, two shades darker and one shade lighter to contour the face. Cream-to-powder is the best to use for this step. After using your perfect shade as a base, use the darker shade under the cheeks, the lighter shade on the forehead and nose and under the eyes to brighten the look and bring it together.
Step 4: Use a brown brow-fix kit to properly and neatly arch and fill in the brows
Step 5: Apply bronze eyeshadow over the eyes.
Step 6: Add a light-pink lipstick as base and then do the same with a nude lip gloss to coat the lips.
Step 7: Add light-blush and then a setting powder for a nice cool natural look.
Look 2 - Camilla Belle
Belle's strong lips popped on the red carpet! here is how you get it.
Step 1: After prepping the face, apply foundation (in this case Black Opal was used).
Step 3: Contour the face as in the first look with the three different foundations.
Step 4: Fill in the brows with a brow fix, but never use a black pencil to arch your brows.
Step 5: Use a voluminous mascara to really make your lashes pop, and a little eyeliner (in this case, Maybelline Lash Blast).
Step 6: Use a dark lipliner to stain the lips.
Step 7: Apply red lipstick until the desired shade is reached (in this case, Revlon's In The Red was used).
Step 8: Stain the lips a second time.
Look 3 - Anna Falchi
Step 1: Follow steps one through four in look one.
Step 5: Use a jumbo black pencil and black eyeshadow to colour the eyes to the desired dark shade. If its too severe you can use your fingertips to diffuse the look.
Step 6: Add light-pink lipstick with nude lipgloss to complete the look. The golden rule is always dark on the eyes, light on the lips.
