The American Chamber of Commerce of Jamaica (AM-CHAM) will be partnering with 3M Jamaica, title sponsor of the AMCHAM/3M Health, Safety, Security & Environmental (HSSE) Conference & Expo 2012, under the theme of 'Keeping Healthy, Safe and Secure in an Unsafe World'.

Need for reassurance

The conference and expo will be held over two days, Thursday and Friday, June 14 and 15, at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel in New Kingston . The two organisations partnered in 2009 to present the very successful HSSE Conference, themed 'Managing Chaos', and both are anticipating an even more spectacular collaboration this year.

Around the world and here in Jamaica, we are bombarded by frightening local and international news related to food safety, new and ongoing health risks, personal and business-related security issues, and financial meltdowns. These lead to confusion about where/how to invest.

Broad range of topics

Issues related to environmental concerns abound; dangers about safety on the roads and at the workplace; confusing insurance options and how to sort through them for our businesses and families are also in our faces every day. Preparation and recovery issues related to natural disasters now and in recent years, in locations where they've never occurred before, are among the many topics that will be covered at the conference.
