Should the Government assist private schools which are facing closure?
Yes, they should, as it reduces |the problem of overcrowding in schools.
- Alicia Malcolm Blackwood
If the schools are not progressive, I think the Government can give assistance where possible. Remember, we all have a role to play in building our nation.
- Marie Deandra Lawrence
No. I think the Gov't should just
take over from them and make the schools free, like primary schools.
- Auda Gold
Government can assist private schools to stay open only if the public school system will not be able to accommodate the lost places. Otherwise, let the market dictate the schools that should remain open.
- André Duncan
No! Close them and let the children attend the public schools.
- Enos Anderson
Yes, but this will be a one-off assistance, so Gov't must see the ledgers and the way put forward for each school, and with that the Gov't can suggest necessary changes, so this does not happen again.
- Ashley Budhai
I think Gov't could share space with them at a cost, to make up for the shortage in public schools.
- Norris Crooks
Why not turn the private schools into public, so that more space will be there for the children, and cut out the shift system.
