THE EDITOR, Sir:
I am writing to register my disgust with the service and packages now being offered by Digicel. I've been a loyal Digicel customer since the telecoms company entered the market, and I am now a subscriber to its BlackBerry prepaid plan, where I pay $2,123 per month for the regular 2G service.
With its 3/4G, Digicel is now charging customers extra for an upgrade which should be mandatory. It's like a taxi driver buying a brand new car and raising the fare. Total nonsense!
However, the quality of service has been noted to be of a lower standard, as the regular 2G has become slower.
Digicel needs to return to the days of putting customers first.
