THE EDITOR, Sir:
Not since the days of Muhammad Ali has the world had a sports figure who entertains as much as Usain Bolt does. He may not have the greatest gift of gab, but he certainly can dance, with moves reminiscent of the famous Ali shuffle. Ali was known for his 'float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, your hands can't touch what your eyes can't see' moves. Bolt is comparable with his 'to the world' pose and his oft-declared statement, "I want to be a legend".
That aside, he has now brilliantly designed a superb marketing feat by appearing to be below his best, thus setting tongues wagging before he goes to London to silence all critics.
It will be shock and awe as he delivers on the track at the Olympics, with record runs in both the 100m and 200m races. Then, it can be said by all that a legend is officially born.
