Making a mockery of Parliament

Published: Thursday | July 5, 2012 Comments 0

THE EDITOR, Sir:

The place where the nation's most important business is handled should be kept sacred.

What transpired in Parliament on Tuesday has left a bitter taste in my mouth and it shows everyone here and overseas that our Parliament has become a marketplace.

Jamaica has lost its dignity through dirty politics. Two members get into a verbal tussle and everything that our forefathers worked for gets thrown out the window.

I am appealing to members of parliament to conduct themselves in a more professional way because children are watching them. The deputy speaker of the House also needs to follow protocol.
