Brian Pengelley
When Brian Pengelley, president of the Jamaica Manufacturers' Association was asked by The Gleaner what was one thing that he regrets that Jamaica did not achieve in the first 50 years of its independence, his response was: "Jamaica should have made better decisions on how to generate energy, specifically electricity, and should have focused more on development especially in the area of employment, creating job opportunities for the country to grow economically".
For the next 50 years, Pengelley would like to see Jamaica focus more on building Jamaica in terms of buying Jamaican-manufactured products, and eat what we grow.
