The Ministry of Finance and Planning has labelled as "misleading" a photograph carried in The Gleaner yesterday that showed it was not in compliance with a requirement to fly the national flag.

"The fact is that the ministry's flag is hoisted at the G-Block gate," the ministry said in a release. "While we commend The Gleaner's effort to highlight such errors, we ask that the information concerning the Ministry of Finance be corrected as the ministry is indeed in compliance with the requirements concerning the flag and public buildings."

However, when The Gleaner visited the ministry again yesterday morning, the flag being flown was on the same pole where there was no flag a day earlier.
