Etiquette and personal care will be among the main focal themes for 'The Social Swirl', a special workshop for teens to be held Friday, July 20 at the Alhambra Inn from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. by Illuminarte Communications Ltd.
"The workshop seeks to equip our teens with the social skills and emotional intelligence needed to prepare them for the worlds of school and college, as well as the 'university of life'. It also comes against the background of the increasing risks which teens face daily within the social arena. We are also encouraging individuals and companies to sponsor a teen," says Alison Christie Binger, Illuminarte's managing director.
Special guest facilitator, Dr Abigail Harrison- Kong, consultant paediatrician and specialist in adolescent medicine, will be addressing the health risks during her interactive presentation.
Tynielle Chambers, product manager at Kirk Distributors (representing sponsors Johnson & Johnson), who is also a guest presenter says, "The workshop is an excellent idea and we are pleased to be associated with it. We will be providing professional skin care analysis and recommending products from our product lines for all attendees."
Participants will receive care packages from sponsors, Colgate and Johnson & Johnson. Outstanding participants can also look forward to receiving gift book prizes, courtesy of Novelty Trading Company.
