Oh my daahling dears! Yet another beautiful weekend is upon us as birthday celebrations are a plenty. French nationals everywhere celebrate Bastille Day tomorrow, July 14. And for the lovers of culture, it's all about the National Dance Theatre Company's (NDTC), Golden Jubilee Gala Dinner and Performance tomorrow evening at the Little Theatre as the company kicks off its 2012 season in fine style.

And luvs! We do mean fabulously so as indeed, the gala season opener will see the company's only surviving founding patron, Edward Seaga, and his wife, Carla, as the company's guests of honour.

And dears! With the company staging a remounting of a number of favourite works from its extensive repertoire, including Sulkari, Edna M, festival songs of yesteryear, plus a suite of Tambo songs, the NDTC's 50th season will not only be a tribute to Jamaica's 50th year of Independence, it will be a celebration of our culture and history.

Dears, this is definitely the preferred event of the season!
