Who's Who in Jamaica Business is an annual business-to-business publication that will expose companies and business leaders to prospective customers, other business organisations and corporate managers, as well as potential investors and partners locally, regionally and internationally.

Set to debut later this year, the 'somewhat of a directory' in a magazine format provides Jamaica's business community with an outlet through which they can showcase who they are and what they do.

Who's Who in Jamaica Business will maintain a high-impact circulation of over 10,000 units, consisting of top corporations, their leaders, clients, and suppliers, as well as government agencies, foreign embassies and high commissions, Jamaican embassies and consulates abroad, development agencies, and non-government organisations, providing organisations with critical domestic and international exposure and recognition.

According to Din Duggan, co-publisher, of Who's Who in Jamaica Business, the story is one of entrepreneurship. "We intend to build Cousins Publishing (publishers) into a formidable player on the Jamaican and Caribbean business landscape. In fact, upon launch in December, the publication will be the premier business product in Jamaica," Duggan said.

The publication has been active for 13 years in Trinidad, and the team here in Jamaica has been working with the Trinidad publisher to bring a much-needed version to Jamaica.

Management team

The management team consists of Duggan, who is a legal recruiting consultant, columnist and attorney, Paul Lewis, vice-president and a member of the board of directors of the Jamaica Exporters' Association, and Richard Lewis, who is chairman of Carreras Limited and chief executive officer of Label House, Trinidad, and the Caribbean's largest packaging design, label and display company, and publisher of Who's Who in Trinidad and Tobago Business."

"The professionals who are involved in producing this publication (management team, writers, designers, copy editors, web developers, printers, etc.) are some of the most talented in their fields in Jamaica and Trinidad. The publication, and our business template, is a model of intra-Caribbean cooperation," Duggan said.

"We have immediate plans, after launching in Jamaica, to take it to other Caribbean and developing country markets. Our intention is to create a top-notch, highly regarded locally based business with broad international reach," Duggan added.

Company insertions are separated by industry, with each industry section featuring a lead-in article that highlights pertinent matters, challenges and opportunities in each sector. Advertising rates are on a per unit basis, lower than any advertising outlet in Jamaica. There is also free inclusion and global exposure on the Who's Who in Jamaica Business website as well as through our electronically and globally distributed e-book edition.
