Andre Headlam and Wendy Evans met in the Easter of 1998 at a barbecue at a friend's house. This was followed by a series of encounters at various events, until the couple finally exchanged numbers when they again ran into each other at a popular nightclub in Kingston.

Headlam had decided that Evans was too much of a catch to allow the opportunity to miss him.

After numerous phone calls and a first date, they found each other increasingly interesting.

Their next meeting brought their first kiss and the beginning of a whirlwind romance that culminated with Headlam asking Evans for her hand in marriage on July 31, 2011.

They exchanged vows on May 12 at the St Andrew Parish Church.
