MANCHESTER, England (AP):

Football's world governing body is reviewing an episode during an Olympic game between the United States and Colombia that left American forward Abby Wambach with a black eye.

FIFA spokesman Alex Stone said the disciplinary committee was meeting, but no update was expected before today.

Wambach said she was "sucker-punched" in the right eye by Lady Andrade in the 39th minute of Saturday's 3-0 win over Colombia.

After the game, Wambach called for FIFA to take action. Andrade said it was an accident.

The US team did not file a formal complaint against Andrade, but it did contact FIFA about it.

US coach Pia Sundhage said yesterday that such behaviour "doesn't belong in the game".
