I think it's a good move, but Jamaica needs to make do with this opportunity by expanding to solar.

Good for Jamaica. Now press for water desalinisation and get our Government to do what's in our best interest.

JPS a suck out the blood out of poor people and our leaders sit back and watch. Thumbs up, Philip Paulwell. Good job!

I'm happy with the result of the ruling. This will now create competition in electricity transmission.

It's a right ruling because other energy/light companies that want to invest in Jamaica can do so if they want. No monopoly!

- SadiekiSkyHigh

It's gonna lose in the Court of Appeal and the Privy Council, there must be precedent to support the ruling.

A win for consumers! Let's hope reprieve comes soon.

The JPS ruling is like the second abolishment of slavery.

- iOddOne

JPS has had a monopoly for decades. All they have done is use that to oppress the Jamaican people. Competition is necessary!

Competition breeds better prices for customers.
