THE EDITOR, Sir:
The dusty and very unhealthy condition of the Paradise to Norwood Housing Scheme main road in St James has been a serious problem for the last 20 years.
Although some work has been done, every time it rains, the surface gets washed away. Then, it is marled and graded, until the next downpour, and then it has to be done again.
I am sure it would cost less in the long run to fix the road properly than to keep putting marl down and grading it till the next shower of rain.
It would also ease some of the burden on the public health-care sector as the dust nuisance affecting the community would be reduced significantly.
