If you are in corporate Jamaica and happen to plan or host many parties, cocktails, receptions or dinners, pulling off the perfect event takes lots of time and energy. One of the most important elements of a good party is the bar service. Guests love holding a glass of their favourite libation in hand as they wheel and deal.

Many corporate public relations and marketing executives have access to discounts offered by local liquor distributors. But what if those distributors simply came and set up your bar and supply a team of expert bartenders, all in exchange for a little brand visibility?

J. Wray & Nephew does all of that. That's right, the same company that gives you Appleton, whites and other palate-pleasing rums that they make. With its wide portfolio of premium labels, party guests are sure to find something to their liking on the temporary shelves set up at each venue. If you prefer to be brand-specific, they can offer a sexy selection of Vodka martinis.

If Scotch is your thing, they have a whiskey for you. Wine lovers have a choice of everything, from non-alcoholics to the favourites, Merlots and Shirazz.

"J. Wray & Nephew Bar Service offers a full bar which includes our wide range of products, both local and imported," Christine Wood, the company's promotions manager, told TODAY.

The service includes: The complete set up - bar structure, spirits, wines, glasses, staff, ice, chasers, Igloos, limes etc..

How it works

1. Whenever a request is made, a quotation is prepared based on number of persons to be catered for.

2. Once the quotation is signed off, a 50 per cent deposit is required.

3. All products are provided on a consignment basis and the client is only billed for what is consumed.

4. A 20 per cent service charge is applied to the final invoice.

The service is currently doing many weddings.
