Chester Francis-Jackson, Contributor
Former Jamaica Defence Force officer and celebrity-model-turned-mountaineer Darren Jordon has chalked up yet another mountaineering feat, when he successfully made it to the top of Switzerland's landmark peak, the Matterhorn. At 14,690 feet (4,478 metres), the Matterhorn is one of Europe's most recognised landmarks and is generally regarded as one of the mountaineering world's toughest and most challenging climbs. For Jordon, it comes on the heels of having also successfully scaled Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, and Italy's highest peak, the Gran Paradiso.
