THE EDITOR, Sir:
What is happening at the Ministry of Education regarding the placement of students under the Alternative Secondary Transitional Education Programme (A-STEP) for the 2012-13 school year?
It is less than a week from the start of the new school year yet many students (my nephew included) - despite efforts by parents and guardians to get information - have NOT been placed in a school!
Can you imagine the frustration of the parents and the trauma to the affected children?
HELP!
