Noted broadcasters Cliff Hughes and Emily Crooks; talk-show host and attorney-at-law, Ronald Mason; sportscasters Ed Barnes and Leighton Levy are all set to match skills in the kitchen.

They will be joined by historian and university lecturer, Professor Verene Shepherd; actor and comedian, Christopher 'Johnny' Daley; and consumer-rights advocate, Vernon Derby, in the 3rd Nationwide 90FM Cook-Off.

Tied for first place

In a battle for bragging rights, the 'cooks' will be paired up with Hughes and Mason; Crooks and Barnes; Daley and Levy; and Derby with Shepherd.

Last year, Hughes was tied for first place with Desmond McKenzie, then mayor of Kingston and St Andrew.

This year, McKenzie is out and Hughes is adamant that he will retain the trophy.

The chief judge this year will be former hotel manager, and Food & Beverage Manager at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel, Nancy McLean.

The Nationwide 90FM Cook-Off 2012 will be on September 10-14.

It will be carried live on Nationwide 90FM with audio and video streaming on www.nationwideradiojm.com.
