Mandeville, Manchester

The Ebenezer Primary School in Manchester got off to a good start for the new school year yesterday.

Patricia Bernard, the school's principal, was pleased with her school's readiness.

"Things are looking good for us so far," Bernard disclosed. "We got our subvention from the Ministry (of Education). The school got some paint from Berger (Paint Limited) and we were able to paint the entire school."

Ebenezer Primary also got some help from the Kiwanis Club of Mandeville in putting up mesh at the entrance and also setting up a grilled door at the back of the kitchen.

"We also put some countertops in the library and received some books for the remedial area from a friend of the school, Celestine Thomas."
