Boyz depart for return leg World Cup qualifier against USA

Following their historic win over the United States on Friday night in their CONCACAF semi-final round World Cup qualifier, an unchanged Reggae Boyz squad will depart today for Tuesday's return leg in Columbus, Ohio.

Comfortably leading the group on seven points from three games following wins over Guatemala and the United States and a draw with Antigua, the Reggae Boyz could seal a place in the final-round group of six with another win on Tuesday.

With only two teams in with a possibility of advancing to the next group and only two sets of games to play, it would be mathematically impossible for two teams to overtake Jamaica. Currently, the United States and Guatemala sit on four points following Guatemala's come-from-behind 3-1 win over Antigua and Barbuda on Friday night. Antigua and Barbuda are at the bottom of the four-team group with one point.

Like Jamaica and the United States, Antigua and Barbuda and Guatemala will meet again on Tuesday.

The Boyz will travel in two groups today, the first at 6:30 a.m. and the second at 2:30 p.m. Both groups will land in Ohio late tonight, the first at 9:05 p.m. and the second at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday's game will kick off at 7 p.m. (Jamaica time), 8 p.m. in Ohio.
