THE EDITOR, Sir:
I saw an advertisement in The Sunday Gleaner dated September 9, 2012, that read: 'Suzuki: We outgrew our outfit at Orchard [Road]. We've moved to 491/2 South Camp Road. It's a great fit! We aim to serve you better at our new location in a more spacious and comfortable environment.'
As a member of the Campbell Town community, I wonder if Stewart's Auto Sales could make the other half of Seaforth Street more comfortable for pedestrians. The previous owner fixed a part of such a small stretch of road just to accommodate customers coming from South Camp Road, but what about those who used the other end of the road? It is in a deplorable condition.
Can Stewart's now show us that it is a good corporate citizen which believes in community development? I believe that big businesses that operate in small communities should give back something to the community.
We know it is the duty of the Government to address our road problems, and it should, but we would appreciate the assistance of business operators.
