What are your views on the PM's speech at the 74th annual conference of the People's National Party?

With due respect to Madam PM, I think her speech was way too long, and devoid of a strategy forward. Nothing new, no defined plan for sustainable growth and development!

- Peter Samuel Augustus Brown

In terms of delivery, it was not one of the best, but in terms of content, it was excellent. I think she shows the dark picture but, on the other hand, shows that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

- Jason Shaw

There is nothing wrong with having party affiliations, but when it clouds your abilities to distinguish fact and reality, you can't be objective. Independent, thinking Jamaicans would find little, if any substance, in her speech.

- Vanessa Whitelock

It was filtered with substance throughout but could have been a little more detailed. It is understood that the Parliament is the forum where the details of government policy will be given.

- Michael Nunes

It was disappointing, and lacked substance. Not much was said on some critical issues. The ministers, who were interviewed after her speech, actually did better than her, because they spoke about the 'hows', unlike PSM, who just said we are going do this and that, but did not mention how they are going to get done.

- Jason JayJay Mckellop

Substantial in going forward. Just hope that what was said will be delivered. People are complaining about J$90 for US$1, but that's what the IMF does: wreck one's economy. I believe all of us as Jamaicans need to support the Government in stabilising the economy instead of opposing.

- Akeem Dobson

She was just telling the people what they wanted to hear. The same politics over and over - bag of promises.

- Kevin Fada Lexx Campbell

She was talking like it was election season; not like the prime minister. She was not talking to everyone in the country; she was talking to Comrades. We all know what happened during election and Olympics. Overall, she failed to say anything different.

- Kwamie Turner

Anything she does is a problem. If she does good or bad, it's a problem. She is working, and it's a problem; she is talking, it's a problem. Her speech was good.

- Christopher Hall

I enjoyed every bit of the PM's speech, but she has a lot on her hands and she is human. Just work with her to build our country, or else we shall feel what we are thinking.
