Nothing but promises

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller's address to the 74th annual general conference of the People's National Party (PNP) lacked substance.

What I got from her address was more promises. She is still dancing around the International Monetary Fund deal; the country has still not heard the real position with the Fund.

The economy is heading in the wrong direction, and crime is still out of control. I didn't hear from Mrs Simpson Miller what the Government is putting in place to rein in the murder monster.

The PNP must stop pointing fingers and do the work the people put it there to do.
