World Travel Awards has voted Caribbean Airlines the leading Caribbean air carrier.

It is the third consecutive year that Caribbean Airlines has won the award. The World Travel Awards is considered the most prestigious, comprehensive and sought after honours in the global travel and tourism industry.

The award was presented to the airline at a red-carpet gala at the Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa on September 14, Caribbean Airlines said in a release.

The airline recently announced new non-stop flights between Guyana and Toronto, Canada and a third weekly non-stop flight between Port of Spain and London, England.
