THE EDITOR, Sir:
I was very incensed by the horrific travesty that occurred in the once-peaceful district of Irwin, St James.
I concur with all decent citizens of Jamaica in condemning these vicious and brutal acts. I support Woman Inc's campaign to wear black on Friday, September 28, as a sign of protest. However, we need to put pressure on those entrusted to lead us to quickly put legislation in place to better prosecute, convict and punish the culprits.
Our beloved Government needs to take responsibility for those it is leading. It needs to get some backbone and take the bull by the horns, or else we'll be like lambs to the slaughter.
Where are our leaders? Where are our defenders? Will the real leaders take a stance and unite with the people to win back Jamaica, land we love?
