Granny fuss

1 Seriously! The grandmothers' war has taken a turn for the worse. Neighbours reported an ugly scene last week when the maternal granny turned up at the paternal granny's residence. They say loud noises and choice expletives were followed by the flying cake - and the victim is the grandchild who doesn't understand what all the fuss is about.

It's coming soon!

2Some say it is now certain that the deck will be shuffled in a matter of weeks. With Christmas around the corner, it will be interesting to see who will be rewarded for being nice and who will be punished for being naughty.

Tidy sum

3Government is reportedly spending a tidy sum transporting witnesses from across the globe in order to get them to testify in local courts. From all reports it has not been easy to coordinate these visits and oftentimes the cases are not ready when the seemingly fearful and reluctant witnesses get here. More money, more time wasting, all resulting in a huge backlog.

Too much pressure

4 There was a time when parents could depend on their children to take care of them in their sunset years. This is no longer the case. It is now some grandparents' lot to pay school fees for grandchildren, buy groceries and pay the mortgage! And the selfish children usually pick the most expensive schools for their little princes and princesses.
