Western Bureau:

National under-20 representative Alvas Powell took his goal-scoring tally to nine with a treble, as Paul Bogle stretched their lead in Zone O of the ISSA/Gatorade/Digicel daCosta Cup schoolboy football competition.

Powell led the way, as his team triumphed 3-0 over Morant Bay for 17 points in their grouping and ahead of Seaforth, who defeated St Thomas Technical 2-0 in their encounter.

It means that the Richard Williams-coached team is just one win away from the inter-zone round of the competition.

Owris Thompson in the 74th, Dillon Powell (78th), the impressive Ishmael Currie grabbed the fourth in minute 81, while Ryan Scott completed the rout. Rivals Glenmuir also posted a big win, defeating Bustamante 4-2.

Clarendon College moved to 13 points with their 4-0 win over Claude McKay in Zone H, as Nico Taylor and Kyle Cummings scored two goals apiece in the win.
