Luvs, it's definitely shaping up to be a rollicking October and then, some as Negril is definitely rocking this here very weekend, just ahead of the massive Heroes weekend, when the entertainment and party capital of the island is all set to go full blast as the young and the restless and party hearty descend on the famed beach town to party hard in celebration of their statuses as the new high priests and priestess of the party crowd. And as is to be expected, leading the way as the party destination is the notoriously and fabulously racy, ultra happening Hedonism 11 Hotel and Resort.
Dears, following on last week celebration and crowning of Fetish Fantasy Queen of the Universe, this week it's all about Mr Caribbean International, as indeed with some of the hottest men of the Caribbean and the diaspora jetting to compete for the title and bragging rights to this crown now in its tenth year of staging, y'all know we are talking a weeklong party that comes to a crowning climax this weekend, in a show that promises to nothing short of the orgasmic.
Children, where there are boys there will be girls, and so it is this weekend as indeed the Hedo ladies are jetting in from all over the Caribbean and the USA to cheer on their favourite chocolate and carmel beefcake, so y'all know we are talking pulling out all the stops, and then some.

And still in Negril this weekend, it promises to be the mother of all anniversaries, with the twin celebration this here weekend, as Couples Negril and Couples Swept Away will be hosting and celebrating their double anniversary shindig, and pumpkins, when it comes to throwing a fabulous anniversary celebration, there are few resorts that do so with the style and pizzazz of the Couples family of fabulous resorts, and with this weekend being the 14th anniversary, you know we are talking prime time here and nothing but.
Birthday Toasts
Dears, it's all stacking up to be yet another fab-fest of a weekend in glorious Negril.
And speaking of fabulous people, place and things, dears, it's still the age of Libra and so birthdays there are aplenty. Among those celebrating this season are Chris Bovell, the fab Angeline Hussey Harris; Leeroy McKessey; the lovely Andrea South; Bevon Morrison; the multi-talented Andrew 'Braata' Clarke, now in New York; Rose Wherli, wife of former US Embassy deputy chief of mission, who all celebrate their birthday today.
Celebrating tomorrow, Saturday the 6th, will be: the much-hailed Olympian Michael Frater; trade unionist and PNP candidate Granville Valentine; the beautiful Nagina Newman; Justin Hadeed Awn; the lovely Martina Robinson; the gorgeous Christine Wilkins, over in Little London, Westmoreland; Randy Morgan, now in Miami, Florida; the fab Beatrice Angela Thomas-Bailey; designer Aul Whyte, now in New York; performance and body artist Lawrence Graham-Brown, now in New York; the fab Denise Sparkes, now in Surrey, British Columbia; and George Amoah, in Ghana.
On Sunday the 7th: Honorary Consul of Guyana Indera Persaud; model and performer Miguel Bernard; the fabulous Clarice Campbell; the lovely Velicea Baugh-Gregg; the charming Joy Scott; the fab Kristin Bourne; Douglas Dane McFarlane; the lovely Joycelyn McINtosh; the charmingly fab Michelle Emmert Bresser in Houston, Texas; and the fabulous Emma Scanlan of A Chain of Hope, will be among the birthday celebrants.
Come Monday the 8th: The fabulous Keita-Marie Chamberlain; the dapper Ruel Dyce; legendary musicologist and radio host Dermott Hussey, now in Takoma Park in Maryland; and model manager of the Fount Group, Chauncea Carothers, in LA, will make it a special day of celebrations.
On Tuesday the 9th: the charmingly fab Betty Barrett-Thompson of NCB; the stunning Dr Kim Brown Ciurlino, now in CA, and her twin sibling Karen Brown Chang, now in Trinidad; and the fabulous Natalie Holt Rosen, now in the UK will be making it more about Jamaicans in the diaspora.
The celebrations continue on Wednesday the 10th, with: the fabulous Deidre Hart-Chang; former media star Garwin Davis; Richard King; the lovely Shannon Shields; Silvan Edwards; the fab Janet Finnigan; Adrian Byfield; and the fab Antoinette Dean, will be celebrating their very special day.
And come next Thursday, the 11th: the charmingly elegant Frances Hadeed Awn; sprinter and Olympian Nesta Carter; the fabulous Debbie Garbutt; the fabulous Lisa Lewis of Digicel Foundation; the lovely Claudile Sydial over in Ocho Rios; Simone Walters March, now resident of Miami, Florida; Yvette Molajo, now in Tacoma Park, Maryland; Heather Harley now in the UK; and Ratna Pratiwi, in Jakarta, Indonesia, will be among Librans blowing out birthday candles.
And a special belated birthday greetings to cultural icon and luminary, Dr Olive Lewin, who celebrates her 85th birthday today, October 5.
