The Pick-9 had no takers at Caymanas Park on Wednesday, resulting in a carryover of $1.4 million.

Both Super-6s were caught, however, and start anew with guaranteed minimums of $750,000. The Pick-9 will be conducted from race two to 10, the first Super-6 from one to six, the overlapping Super-6 from race five to 10.

We look at the second Super-6, which commences with a 3-y-o restricted stakes to be contested by 11 starters over 1300 metres. The 11-horse field includes top contenders ANTOINETTE (working well) with champion jockey Dick Cardenas, and EL PATRON with top apprentice Renardo McNaughton aboard. ANTOINETTE will more than likely set off in front and will have to be caught, but EL PATRON, now eased in the weights by virtue of the apprentice's claim, is preferred with only 52.0kg.

Next on the programme is a maiden condition race over the straight-five course (Division I) to be contested by 13 starters, including five newcomers. It will more than likely come down to the sparingly raced PRINCIPE (working well) with Shane Ellis aboard and SOCIAL BUTTERFLY with the promising apprentice Renardo McNaughton riding for champion trainer Wayne DaCosta. The Anthony Nunes-trained PRINCIPE is given the edge.

EDISON, now assured of strong handling from Richie Mitchell, is preferred to DI COBRE, ST. BERNARD and the speedy SILVER SHADOW in the knotty seventh race over the round-five course for three-year-olds and up. And PREMIUM RETURNS, now better for the recent pipeopener behind IT'S A GIFT over 1200 metres, looks a five-star banker with Shane Ellis up in the eighth.

CLASSY PROSPECT PREFERRED

CLASSY PROSPECT, who ran well in defeat behind COMMANDING CHIEF and RAISE A RUCKUS in the recent Owen Silvera Memorial Cup over a mile, is preferred to old rival RAISE A RUCKUS and JET SETTER (working well) in the ninth race for the L.C. McKenzie Memorial Cup over 1400 metres, in which 11 open-allowance horses have been declared.

Then, take the in-form BURNING CLEARANCE to beat old rival MERIT'S JET the closing Track Price Plus Dig Out Handicap over 1100 metres, to be contested by 14 starters.
