Portmore buses

1. Long-suffering residents of Portmore are curious about the JUTC's timetable. They complain that in the mornings there are simply no buses, which leaves them no option but to hop on to a minibus or robot taxi and they say this is sometimes against their better judgement.

Lottery scam

2. As the authorities move to clamp down on the evil lottery scam some are pointing to the fact that many Jamaicans have also become victims of lottery scams especially emanating from Europe. Word is that millions have flown out of Jamaica at the same time as scam money is coming in. Of course, some of the locals who have been caught are members of society's upper shelf so they probably would not want to come out and admit it for fear of being ridiculed.

What's up at Caymanas?

3 Some people are asking why has the police failed to turn the spotlight on the Caymanas area in light of the fact that several bodies have been dumped there in the past months. While everyone understands that it is not possible to patrol the area 24/7 surely, there are ways of monitoring such as installing cameras.

Don't take it to funeral!

4. Many are saying it is in extremely poor taste and quite insensitive to use the platform of a funeral service to promote services or goods. These remarks, no doubt, were sparked by the recent clumsy attempt to market entertainment material which really had nothing to do with the deceased.
