Jamaica will celebrate National Heroes Day on Monday, but it would appear that the statues of national heroes Norman Manley and Sir Alexander Bustamante, located at the north and south of the St William Grant Park in downtown Kingston, have been left in neglect.

The statues of the national heroes, in the bustling business district, are slowly becoming an eyesore for many as they are now covered with grime and mildew. Hopefully, the authorities will give them a good cleaning in short order.
