Peg the dollar to the US, it's common sense

THE EDITOR, Sir:

With due respect to that former respected and respectable central bank governor, Derick Latibeaudiere, he has said nothing to contradict the call by a most outstanding man of finance, Edward Seaga, a former prime minister and minister of finance and investor, to try fixing the exchange rate to move this country forward.

The present system has certainly not been helping. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. The old order must change, yielding place to the new, if we must have any hope.

In summary, if the exchange rate has no prospect of being stabilised under the current system, common sense given by the Creator, with which all of us are endowed, though in varying degrees, must prevail.
