For just under a month now, lovers of the opera have been enjoying the performances live at Carib 5 cinema, right here is the city. If you have not yet been, check out these photos capturing some of the highlights. The audience enjoyed every minute of 'L'Elisir d'Amore' (The Elixir of Love), starring the acclaimed new diva, Russian soprano Anna Netrebko.

Palace Amusement is now one of the 1,900 theatres worldwide in the elite ranks of the Metropolitan Opera's award-winning series of live transmissions to movie theatres around the world, which will feature 12 productions in the 2012-13 season. In addition to operas, Jamaican movie goers and patrons of the arts will now have access to live performances of ballet, Broadway/West-End dramas, concerts, musicals and sporting events from international and local sources.

This is all possible through Palace Amusement's latest initiative, Alternative Content, which facilitates projections in 3D digital signals from a satellite, a hard drive, fiber optics or television transmission. Palace Amusement now joins Bolivia, Guatemala, India, Madagascar and Qatar as the latest entrants of The Met: Live in HD.
