THE EDITOR, Sir:
Jamaicans have become cynical towards anything being said by someone who claims to represent God, and many will quickly put down anything that has a hint of supernatural inclination.
I can't help but wonder if we are not currently under judgement. I am not by any means insinuating that the present Government brought this judgement upon us. It could well be the people who went to the polls, or it could be the Church that decided to stay away from the polls.
The unusual devastation of some of our crops by worms in St Elizabeth is cause for concern. I cannot recall a previous attack of this magnitude on our crops. The killing of pregnant women, the attacks on our young girls and boys, the rise in rape cases, the dengue fever outbreak all have me thinking. This is not to be taken lightly. It could well be some other forces at work, beyond which our eyes can see. Let's start making the right choices, which simply means doing what we know to be the right thing whenever faced with a situation.
