THE EDITOR, Sir:
It is easy in this life to take things and people for granted. This is by no means good, but there is so much going on in our lives that I fear it is inevitable. I want to stop and take the time to say 'thank you' to all media houses and, in particular, the staff of Television Jamaica for the excellent work done during Hurricane Sandy.
Neville Bell, in particular, was a calming and reassuring presence in my home as the winds howled and the trees danced. Mr Bell is a master of his craft, and younger members of the media fraternity would do well to copy his methods. Mr Bell, you don't know me or my family but, thank you, sir, for all you did for us during the hurricane.
