FALMOUTH, Trelawny:

FALMOUTH APPEARED to have passed the severe weather test some predicted would have severely affected the parish capital.

The apprehension was real with the construction of the new wharf plus the indiscriminate dumping.

"We did not fare too badly. What we have to do is to quickly restore the town," Mayor of Falmouth Councillor Garth Wilkinson said yesterday.

The mayor, along with a team of workers, was seen yesterday cutting fallen trees and removing them from power lines.
