PORT ANTONIO, Portland:

RESIDENTS IN several communities across Portland were replacing dislocated zincs and other roofing materials Wednesday evening after Hurricane Sandy unleashed a wave of terror on their communities.

Fitzroy Dodd, a resident of Stony Hill, was spotted hammering away at his roof, while muttering, "If di hurricane nuh dun yet, den dawg nyam wi suppa".

It was a similar situation in other communities including Prospect, Spring Bank, Anchovy Land Settlement and Snow Hill.

Meanwhile, several roadways throughout the parish were, up to yesterday, heavily littered with tree branches.

Hurricane Sandy caused more than 200 residents to evacuate their homes to take up temporary residence in shelters on Wednesday.
