Monitor the NWC as well

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am living in Hart Hill, which is situated in the eastern parish of Portland. As I send this letter to The Gleaner at 6:12 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2012, we are still without light and water, and the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) team can be seen working hard to restore our power supply.

I am going to get to the point of my letter now so I can conserve my battery. I would like The Gleaner to not only have a spotlight on JPS in all areas but to keep a close watch on the National Water Commission (NWC) as well.

Before the hurricane, we had no water - even to catch and store away. And at this point, we have heard nothing from NWC; no trucking of water, absolutely nothing!

Please keep abreast of this matter as you closely monitor JPS with the hope that it will keep the media updated on its progress, so that normality can resume.
