WESTERN BUREAU:

Davian Thelwell had a brilliant double-double, as did Dwayne Keane for Granville Wolfpack in Tuesday night's 53-47 win over Cornwall Court Chargers in the Hi-Lyte Insports Western Conference Men's Basketball League.

It was Wolfpack's second win after three games for a 1-2 record, while the Chargers were suffering a third straight loss in as many games.

The Chargers, led by Wayne Morris' 18 points and 10 rebounds, took control of the game with a three-point lead (12-9) after the first quarter, and also led by a similar margin at the end of the second.

But the Wolfpack responded in the third with Thelwell making a number of his baskets and dominating in the paint, leading to his 10 boards, while ably supported by Keane and Adrian Myres, whose 10 points, nine rebounds and four assists propelled Granville to a seven-point victory.

Mikhail Smith added 11 points and eight rebounds for Wolfpack and Alex Campbell pulled down seven rebounds to go with his eight points.

The league resumes today with one game as Coral Gardens Raptors hunt another win against the inconsistent Savannah J-Hawks. This game will be played at the Montego Bay Cricket Club basketball court.
