TODAY’S RACING takes place at Newmarket, Wetherby, Utto-xeter and Wolverhampton in the evening, while Aqueduct and Finger Lakes offer simulcast racing from North America.

Newmarket stages some competitive looking races, including the Milos Seafood and Norfolk Ice Cream Handicap (25th race) over two miles to be contested by 16 starters.

Big race jockey Tom Queally is down to r ide the 6-1 second favourite LIEUTENANT MILLER for top Nat ional Hunt t rainer Nicky Henderson. The four-yearold is coming off a good win at Doncaster on his only outing on the Flat so far this season and bear ing in mind that distance, LIEUTENANT MILLER is preferred to 100/30 ante-post favourite ARDLUI.

National Hunt trainers l ike Henderson usually do well on the Flat in long distance races, hence LIEUTENANT MILLER gets the nod.
